- More resources are needed by the Greater Houston Mentoring Collaborative and its member programs. We need funds to recruit, train and supervise more mentors, to serve more children, and to provide consistently high-quality mentoring experiences.
- Research shows that quality mentoring can improve the student's school engagement and performance, strengthen adult and peer relationships, promote social skills development, raise self-confidence and resiliency, while reducing high risk behaviors.
- If you believe in the value of youth mentoring, the programs that provide this service, and our Collaborative, please show your support with a generous contribution designating a program and/or the Collaborative as beneficiary.
- Tax deductible donations to the Greater Houston Mentoring Collaborative can be made payable to our fiscal agent, Neighborhood Centers Inc., and designated to the GHMC. Neighborhood Centers Inc. is a Texas 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation - www.neighborhood-centers.org. Recognition of donations to the Collaborative of at least $25,000 a year can be placed on our website if you wish.
- Collaborative sponsorship can be provided by other means - sponsoring a mentor recruitment event at your company/ organization, donating goods and services, or sponsoring activities (game and event tickets are always popular).
